Prior to attending law school, Jennifer spent a decade in public school teaching special education. She instructed children with both intellectual and learning disabilities. In addition, received training and provided dyslexia instruction. Her leadership roles during her tenure included serving as Special Education Team Leader, RTI committee member and as campus assistive technology coordinator.
While attending South Texas College of Law Houston, Jennifer made the Dean's list, was inducted into the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor society, received a Pro Bono Honors award, participated in three legal clinics (Immigration, Patent, and Trademark) and successfully submitted two supervised research papers.
Her Motto: "My teacher thought I was smart, so I was!"
Education is one of the most powerful experiences in childhood. Time is precious. Education is cumulative. As a society we cannot afford to waste a precious moment of time. We must not ignore any educational opportunity.
Why special education law?
Because we only get one childhood.
